Josephine is full porcelain with painted eyes and shoes. Her gloves and stockings are also painted. She has a handmade mohair wig. Her dress is pure silk satin trimmed with organza, lace, beads and diamontes. Her silk hat has bead and feather trimming. Her underwear is silk dupioni with Nottingham lace trim.

The chair on which she rests her foot is handcrafted from Blackbean timber with a padded black velvet seat.
