After firing the head, Mara's face is hand-painted. Her hand-painted eyes have an unique expression. Her mohair wig is hand-knotted and specially made for her.

The head, arms and legs are made of porcelain. The cloth body is filled with soft material and a sandbag. Her back has a ribbon so she can be posed in many positions. Besides lying down, she can also sit and even crawl.

The outfits are usually made from only natural materials.
